ProRoofing Estimator

Build roofing estimates in squares, not guesswork.

ProRoofing Estimator is a single-file, Netlify-ready roofing calculator built for asphalt shingle, tile, metal, and flat/TPO work. Enter your roof in squares, layer in pitch, tear-off, flashing, valleys, vents, and gutters, and get an instant labor, materials, and disposal breakdown.

Field standard: 1 square = 100 sqft. All core calculations below are driven by squares.
Roofing Unit Squares First
Cost Buckets Labor + Materials + Disposal
Project Types Asphalt, Tile, Metal, Flat/TPO
Deploy Style Single File + Netlify Function

Project Inputs

Adjust the job details, then tune your pricing assumptions if needed.

Example: 28 squares = 2,800 sqft of roof area.
Estimator Logic Material and labor rates change by roof type. Pitch increases labor intensity and adds a small waste factor. Tear-off layers drive disposal and cleanup costs.
Use Case This is a contractor-style base estimate. Add taxes, permit fees, overhead, and profit margin separately if you want a final bid number.

Pricing Controls

Roof-type base rates auto-load when you switch systems. Override them if your market is different.

Detailed Breakdown

Assumptions

Use these notes to explain how the estimator is producing the number.

Calculation Notes
  • Roof coverage is priced in squares. The tool never asks for raw sqft as the primary roofing unit.
  • Pitch increases labor and waste because steeper systems install slower and cut more material.
  • Tear-off layers add disposal per square per layer, plus a haul base whenever disposal is needed.
  • Flashing, valleys, vents, and gutters are priced as combined scope add-ons to keep the total practical.
What To Add Separately
  • Permits and inspection fees
  • Taxes and supplier delivery surcharges
  • Overhead and target profit margin
  • Decking replacement, skylights, and specialty trim
